NURA — Privacy Policy

NURA is built by NuroNova Genix Co. This policy explains, in plain language, what the NURA app does and does not do with your information. The short version: NURA has no accounts, no trackers, and no servers that hold your data — everything stays on your device, and nothing about you is sent to us.

1. Who we are

NURA is developed and published by NuroNova Genix Co., a Delaware company headquartered in Houston, Texas, United States. In this policy, "NURA", "we", "us" and "our" refer to NuroNova Genix Co. and the NURA app.

2. Information NURA handles — all on your device

NURA is designed so your information never leaves your phone unless you deliberately connect an outside service (see section 3). Depending on which features you turn on, NURA may store the following locally on your device only:

• Your location or chosen city — used only to compute your prayer times and the Qibla direction, on the device. It is not stored by us and is never uploaded to us.
• Prayer records — which prayers you marked as prayed, kept as a private history on your device.
• Your notes, reminders, contacts and NURA's "memory" — anything you write or let NURA remember stays on the device.
• Health readings — if you turn on the optional Health feature, readings you enter are stored on the device so NURA can show trends and a summary. NURA is an organiser, not a doctor; it does not diagnose or prescribe.
• Sleep & presence signals — if you turn this on, NURA reads motion and location signals already available on the phone, on the device, to understand rest and place. These are processed locally and not uploaded to us.

NuroNova Genix Co. does not collect, receive, transmit, or store any of this information. We have no copy of it.

3. The optional AI companion (bring your own key)

NURA's AI companion, "Noora", is off until you turn it on by entering your own API key for a provider you choose — currently OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude), or Together AI (and, optionally, ElevenLabs for voice).

• When you use the AI, NURA sends your request directly from your device to the provider you chose so it can reply. Those requests are governed by that provider's privacy policy, not ours.
• NuroNova Genix Co. does not receive, proxy, log, or store your AI requests or their responses. We operate no server in between.
• Your API key is stored only on your device and shown to you masked. It is sent only to the service it belongs to.

If you never connect a key, no information leaves your device through NURA at all.

4. What we do NOT do

• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
• We do not require or create user accounts.
• We do not operate a server that stores your personal data.

5. Permissions NURA may ask for

Each permission is optional and used only for the feature it powers. NURA works without granting them (you can enter a city by hand instead of location, for example).

• Location — to compute prayer times and the Qibla for where you are. Used on the device only.
• Notifications — to remind you of prayer times and call the athan.
• Motion / physical activity — for the optional sleep & presence feature, processed on the device.

6. Children

NURA is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — and, as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.

7. Keeping and deleting your information

Because your information lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete individual items in the app, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

8. Security

Your data stays on your device rather than on a server that could be breached. Your API keys are stored locally and shown masked. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your information on your own phone removes the most common risks that come with cloud accounts.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Because the app runs on your device, meaningful changes will also be reflected in the app.
