NURA's superpowers

Any one of these exists somewhere. The point of NURA — built by NuroNova Genix Co. (Delaware; headquartered in Houston, Texas) — is that they exist together, on one wrist, on one device, with nothing phoned home.
1. Prayer times you can audit
A deterministic astronomy engine computes Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha on-device from the sun's declination and the equation of time for your exact coordinates. Eleven calculation methods, Asr by Shafi'i or Hanafi shadow factor, named high-latitude rules, correct after-midnight Isha, and a truthful "unavailable" during polar day. Same inputs, same times, forever — no server can change your worship out from under you.
2. A Day Director that answers "what now?" in one glance
Your real agenda becomes a Future Window (NOW / NEXT / LATER / PREPARE) and a single state — Leave now, Prepare now, Focus, Overdue, Next up, or Clear day — plus a Life Heat reading of how full the stretch ahead is. Every recommendation carries its reason, travel time only appears when the event really has it, and the whole thing recomputes once a second locally. It never invents a commitment.
3. A living Earthrise on your wrist
Celestia is a hand-drawn Canvas dial at device-pixel ratio, not a static image:
- A live Earth seen from the Moon — spinning 15° an hour, with its real day/night terminator, orthographic continents, seasonal solar tilt, a feathered twilight band and a thin atmospheric limb.
- A silvery moon-phase driven by the 29.53-day synodic month.
- A flying tourbillon with a faceted ruby, a mechanical day-date at three o'clock, dauphine hands, rose-gold sweeping seconds, and a domed anti-reflective sapphire.
- Honours
prefers-reduced-motionby drawing one still, correct frame each second.
4. Presence that observes the phone, never accuses the person
NURA estimates last night's rest from stillness read by the iPhone's motion coprocessor — no background location mode — and samples the night window carefully so an afternoon on a desk is never mistaken for sleep. Every verdict is hedged (likely / possible / unknown) and names its evidence. Attendance is inferred from geofence enter/exit crossings and phrased as "I didn't see your phone there," never "you missed it."
5. An AI wired to the truth, read-only
The optional assistant, Noora, reads the engines through a deliberately small set of read-only tools — time, prayer times, the day, routines, health, location, presence and contacts. It cannot act, change settings or reach the network; the engines remain the source of truth. Bring your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic or Together), and your text goes straight from your phone to your provider.
The combination, side by side
| Capability | Typical app | NURA |
|---|---|---|
| Prayer times | Downloaded from a server | Computed on-device from solar astronomy, deterministic |
| Day planning | A separate calendar app | Fused with prayer in a per-second Future Window |
| Watch face | Static wallpaper | Live Earthrise + moon-phase + tourbillon Canvas |
| Sleep/attendance | Confident claims | Hedged, evidence-named, phone-not-person |
| AI | Chat box guessing | Read-only tools over real engines, BYO-key |
| Data | Account + cloud sync | On-device, no account, no backend |
6. The whole Muslim day, offline
Morning and evening adhkar, a khatm progress tracker (progress only — no mushaf text embedded), the 99 Names in canonical Tirmidhi order, Ramadan and fasting, everyday duas, a zakat calculator (85 g gold or 595 g silver nisab, 2.5%, a clean zero below the threshold), tasbih, world clock, water, the Hijri date and a sunrise/sunset arc — all working with no connection. Alarms and agenda items are handed to iOS so they ring with the app closed.
7. Rigor as a feature
Roughly 1,327 automated tests, an independent 14-agent adversarial bug audit (22 real bugs found, 21 fixed and shipped) and a 14-agent security review stand behind all of it.
This exact combination does not exist anywhere else. NURA, from NuroNova Genix Co. — coming soon to iPhone.
Get the athan, live — free
These times update every day. The NURA app keeps them live on your phone, calls the full athan at prayer time, points the Qibla, and shows it all on a living watch face — working offline, no account, no sign-in.
